Syntax error on Event Registration 6.00.18 plugin activation (3 posts)

I am having problems activating the Event Registration 6.00.18 plugin. Whenever I do on WordPress 3.3.2 it throws up a Syntax error. Error says:

"Plugin could not be activate because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /var/www/..../wp-content/plugins/event-registration/evr_three_cal.php on line 272"

NB: I have replaced my file structure with '...' instead.

Now I have read other syntax error issues on the support website where the WordPress plugin is not installed in the root directory. My WordPress install is a folder down. Will this be causing the problem or is there any other issues? I have an old copy of the plugin version 5.43 which installs and activates fine.

Hey thanks for that - I didn't find those forums. I don't (at the moment) have write access to the plugins folder so will try it out when I can get that.
