I got the solution, but if anyone wants to know , i will be glad to help you out

How did you resolve the issue? I’m building a site on a sub-domain at the moment but looking to move it to the root directory once I’m done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to know this, thanks

I did the same thing on Friday – just copied all the files from one subdomain to the other. Changed in general settings the URLs and it all worked perfectly fine. But after the weekend when I wanted to check the blog, it gave me the 404 error. It can’t find it.

Do you know what could be the reason and what should I do to make it work?

    Thanks!

for people who need solution to this, sorry for the late reply
http://donate.deeptechtons.net will resolve to donate folder in the root of your site for eg:”\public_html\donate\wordpress-files”
So this would be easy because all you need to do is create another subdomain blog which is folder “\public_html\blog\” you will need to move the files to new folder then modify the site url in the Settings page
    also read this Documentation
