   i'm running WP 3.1 on a hosting php 4.x

   i want to change my hosting plan to go with someone on php 5.3

   Will i get into any kind of trouble doing so ?

   You shouldn't do. In fact you'll be finally able to upgrade to WordPress 3.2.1.

   Shouldn't be a problem. I still have a 3.1 site running on my host with PHP 5.3 (been too busy to upgrade it), and it works fine.
