Just two quick questions:
I would like to switch from Spam Karma 2 to another anti-spam plugin like Akismet. Can I simply deactivate Spam Karma and activate Akismet or do I have to uninstall something, like the tables?
What anti-spam plugin besides Akismet can you recommend?

Yes. You'll have to activate Akismet by getting an API key from wordpress.com though.

Bad Behavior. It's not anti-spam, as such, but it blocks automated spambots quite effectively.
