I'm wanting to add a movie into my sidebar (using widgetized theme "Beautiful Sunrise").
I thought that my best bet was using the plugin "WP-SWFObject".
Now when I get to the movie part I realize that a .swf isn't a no-brainer for me as my export options for movies are all .flv or .mov
Will a .flv work in place of a .swf?
My movie tolls have been iMovie, Quicktime Pro and Adobe Flash CS3 Encoder.
As far as I cn see none of these will export the movie as a .swf.

That's something I would like to know as well. A FLV Embed widget for example. That would be great!
Well, I found one:
video widget
hi all, just seen this plugin posted, so it may be just what you're looking for.

Hope it works out.
Mike.
For an FLV (Flash video) or MOV (Quicktime video), try the WordTube plugin, it comes with a sidebar widget.

Forget about Flash, SWF, "flash movie" etc... unless you're creating a custom video player. Adobe uses the term "movie" for flash runtime applications and that may confuse... "movie" != "video". You want video.
