After an automatic update, I tried to login to the admin panel to do some more editing, something happened whereby the admin page gave me a fatal error code.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_network_admin() in /home/content/88/6571188/html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 10
Can you please assist me with this? I work for the company and this website is very important to them.
Plus I am a newbie to this, so please be as simple as possible.
Thank you.
Your upgrade did not complete successfully.
Try:
- switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.
- re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.

Would try all of those, but I still cannot get into the Dashboard. After typing in all the login and password info, it brings me to a white fatal error screen reading:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_network_admin() in /home/content/88/6571188/html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 10
Then my next question would be, how can I access the FTP files to the site?<-----newbie.
Thanks for your patience.
Please try re-reading my suggestions above.

ask your hosts. or if this is hosted on the company's servers, ask the network administrators.

I've done everything that was said and I still can't access the admin panel, is there something I am missing?
I appreciate the help so far and would appreciate more if you continue...
Did you contact your hosts? Did you rename your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and the plugin's folder in wp-content?

I contacted the host and the domain server, I did everything that was instructed under the link you provided in regards to resetting the plugins folder, but I still cannot login....
Is there a step that I am not trying?
Thank you any advice helps....
