the super admins get a comment has been posted la la la la for all subsites. I really dont want an email, the subsites are out of my hands so to speak.

The email in general settings for the main network is NOT mine and I cant see how to switch it off

    anyhelp, would be much appreciated

You only get that if you're also the ADMIN for the subsite.

As per all the things I read. I really am not though. Have checked and double checked. my email isnt on the list. Only one email on the last site created (we are still in testing mode) and that is my colleagues.

Unless there is somewhere I am not looking

Just to be clear, I looked again, this email address is showing sites as the main and the system-default (used as a template)

both urls are listed next to my name.

But I really am getting comment email from all the sites.

My colleague just made a new one, had a friend leave a comment, I get the comment moderation email, clearly sent to this email address

thanks for speedy response by the way, this thing is driving me to drink ;)

and the system-default (used as a template)

Go to the sub site. Check the users THERE and see if you're added as an admin.

There is no global setting in multisite that sends the super admin comment notifications. (some people ish it were so). It's all done on a per site basis, so you have to go check on each of the sub sites and remvoe the checkbox to send you an email.

    nope, i checked them all

i am an admin on system-default, as i should be, but the comments are not coming from here and this is used as a template for layout, options etc.

plus i am the ONLY super admin getting all comments.

But I swear, checked and re-checked, even as I type this I am looking at a site that just sent me a comment and I am not on it as admin, only one user is on there, its not me.

System default... Are you using a replication plugin to generate sites?

but to be clear, it isnt visibly adding me to the created sub sites.

you think it might be doing it from behnd the scenes?

Yes, I do think it's soemthign to do with the plugin.

I would ask on wpmu's site, since they would know.

ungh, what a cluster. So, it seems that the template plugin adds my email somewhere in the mix.

I changed it to another email of mine and voila the comments go there.

So if anyone else should come across this. I had to set up the template site with a dummy email address. As it isnt being commented on it was safe to do it.

Thanks to all who stopped by and helped, you made a difference :)

    Be well
