• Hello all,

I would like to reach out for some help with my website please…

Perhaps I need to change the template, but I feel it doesn’t have a professional feel and it needs improvement…. It’s been suggested I could increase readability of text and entice the user? Could anyone give me some ideas please?

    Thanks!

    Angela

    Good work πŸ™‚
I feel we’ll be taking over this forum if we proceed here.

May you make a thread here and write something like “How can I get my website to look like this http://awesomescreenshot.com/0bewb1s4a “.

Thanks Blograzzi, I have w3 total cache, I didn’t realize it loaded so slowly, do you know of a way to improve this??

    Thanks!

    Angela

Maybe you need to play with w3 total cache options: Minify, database, object, Browser Chache, and use CDN. And also check your webpage speed.

Thanks both of you i have since changed my settings of W3 Total Cache and (I believe) it to be a lit quicker now.. Thank you! πŸ™‚

A more professional logo design would go a long way to improving the initial feel of the site. Just typing out your company name in a fancy font, is not a logo. If you are not a designer, you’d do well to pay one to do something for you.

    Angela,

I commend you for the time it probably took to design your website! I am by no means a professional designer although I’ve had years (and years) of experience with marketing. There are times that less is better. The website has way too much going on each page. A simple rule of thumb is your most important information should be contained on the “top fold”. You have incorporated some great information although I’m NOT a fan of the “AD CHOICES”.

I also see you did you homework and included meta tags. Good for you. The website should always be designed for the viewer in mind.

    Keep up the great work!

Thank you Bloohair I understand what you mean about the logo, for me the actual logo is the purple figure which i designed and have branded it everywhere now, it would be too difficult to change thank you though.
And Willowmarketting, Thank you for your kind words! Yes I’m aware that it’s kind of busy, I think I’m going to try and figure out how to change this, I’ve started bit by bit to improve it and I certainly agree that less is more and the viewer is what is important!

Thank you for the advice~ :):)

I really like your website but It’s very very and veryyy slow …[Advertisement moderated]

This is not the place for soliciting work. Stop it.

Andrew Nevins – Kudos to you for saying something. I’m sick to death of posters trying to sell something on “help” forums. Thanks!

Your site looks very good but it does have long loading times.

How did you create your All Articles page like that? (To be more clear, how did you channel your posts to go to that specific page?)

It is fast now, But when I open your website I got this message: “Internet explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors”

Golfer, Thank you,,, Sorry I didn’t see your question until now… It was pretty easy it’s in settings/reading. Here you change the landing page, I created my own page (all articles) and in the dropdown menu you can dedicate a page for all your posts.
I chose to do mine as a regular setting (instead of magazine so it displays one after the other) via the drop-down menu on the left inside the page. I hope this helps?

Thank you Blograzzi. I have no idea what that means, it’s pretty alarming… Thank you I’ll try and delve into this problem now…
