    Hmm, interesting. Not something that I’d use as I even turn WordPress revisioning off.

    Also, I’m not sure how the diff alone would read in the body of an email as it might be out of context.

    Diffs include context, and the email includes the page name. The idea is to include more useful information than the initial few lines of the page, which may not be what changed.

    I’ll add this to the list of feature requests but as this is more of a hobby for me I cannot give any timeline.

    Having done some reviewing I’m not sure this is going to be feasible any time soon. The core wp_text_diff() function outputs the diff side by side in an HTML formatted table that’s also CSS formatted. That isn’t going to render into plain text at all well and the HTML rendered code is not in an order that makes parsing it for a plain text alternative very easy at all (i.e. it’s not a simple strip_tags() call).
