Suggest me Plugins

dear experts, recently i have switched all of my domain to word press, to ease site management and search engine visiblity . however as new to wp, i dunno which plugins to use and how to configure them. my first aim to make website search engine friendly . i have used all in one SEO plugins which is working good i guess . i have failed to configure super cache . it doesnt work at all . already spent 6 hours after it .. configured as mentioned in read me files . however i cant see any output as a HTML file.

so i am looking for plugins which will create search engine friendly HTML file, instead of PHP . and make short URL ..

also looking for auto youtube video grabber plugins .

please advise
