   Hi,

   I am a designer and hence i want to create a free theme for wordpress.org in GPL.

   But i dont want to reinvent wheel.

   I thought to start with a very simple basic theme that is already obeying all rules of wordpress.org submissions.

   So, i can add only the front end beauties.

   Please suggest me a very good and popular theme,

   How about Sandbox.

   Sandbox is a great theme. But I think i cannot use it as it is, because, technically it is heavy.

   Moreover, Only child themes look better with it.

   Also, do you think they have updated it for recent framework?

   Sandbox is a nice basic theme to start.

   You can also use the new twentyten theme. It is up to date.

   I am not sure on Sandbox. I think it does not use the recent menu concept added from admin.

   Yes, Twentyten is also a great theme. I should consider it too.

   Yet searching for simple one.
