I'm working on a new install of wordpress on bluehost and I keep getting

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

on a couple pages. I've gotten it trying to upload theme settings, activate a plugin, and import a file. What could be causing this? I've only activated the wordpress importer plugin.

Maybe this article can help you out. It has various ways to address the issue you are having.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

I am having the same trouble after installing an e-commerce plugin "wpStoreCart". Now I get the "sufficient permissions error" after a login attempt. So I cannot login to remove the plugin through WordPress.

I am looking into removing the plugin through my webhost's cPanel, but would like to know of a solution through WP too.

I had the same trouble after installing an e-commerce plugin "wpStoreCart". I got the "sufficient permissions error" after each login attempt. So I removed the plugin through my webhost's cPanel. That solved my problem.

    Hope this helps,
