Weird. Been uploading pictures for couple of years--even earlier today.
Now, when I "Write A New Post" and click the "Add An Image" button and then "Choose Files To Upload", the button appears to depress but...nothing happens. 15 minutes before it was working.
Version 2.5.
I've done nothing new to WordPress--no new plugins. And all WAS fine half an hour ago. Now, even after reboot I can't upload anything...

The new Flash 10 plug-in breaks the upload button. See http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6979. Try using the 'Browser uploader' or use an earlier version of Flash.

I spoke too soon.
Husky, that link to ticket 6979 isn't working. How do I check what version Flash I have and how to roll back.
What do you mean by try using the "Browser Uploader"? You mean to use FTP other than the one built into WordPress. Jeez, that would be inconvenient...
Also...I haven't upgraded my Flash today--not sure that this is what the problem is, and FredRE is apparently having similar problem with 9.0.

Got the link to work by cutting and pasting it into URL.
I've tried uploading on a 2nd computer of mine (so tried both on XP and on Vista) and having same problem.
Very distressing!

I also have the same issue. Sometime it works, other times it doesnt.

Getting closer but not there yet..
Installed the following plugin...

I can now upload a photo but can't access the media tab (this plugin seems to have the same issue as the normal WP version - which leads me to believe it is some sort of flash issue...but than again, I have 9.0.

OK, is this happening to just those using a Mac? the PC test worked fine.
I did upload the "no flash plugin" but it did not have any effect.

No, I'm using a PC--both my XP and Vista computers are having this problem.
Looks like a LOT of people have this problem.

Until this is fixed, how do I put pictures into my blog?
I've been experimenting and have just used my FTP program (FileZilla) to upload my pictures to the correct folder at my blog's site, but I don't know where I go from there? What is the HTML for putting the picture into the blog.
So far my efforts have been unsuccessful...
