   Did an extensive update on my site about 6 weeks ago no problems at all.

   Have gone back to add some new posts, but pictures will not display anymore. Just shows a box with a question mark in it. No matter whether I load through browser or flash upload, and same problem on ALL browsers. My media library still shows previous pictures I have uploaded no problem. Just cannot add new ones and I have changed no settings.

   media upload is set at default : wp-content/uploads

   Surely there is a simple fix to this?

   I am having the same problem. Pictures were loading fine and now everytime I load a picture I get the red x of doom. Any suggestions?

   Thank you. I feel stupid but after clearing out some old pictures and making room, the pictures load fine now.

   I managed to cut and paste everything into a new post and it works now. Very strange.
