   My site was fine. It's a new site, a test site, and so I've been adding plugins to see how they work for my actual site.

   Last night I noticed that all of a sudden, I no longer have the ability to publish new posts or pages. Everything is now set to "Draft." My choices are "Draft" or "Pending Review."

   If I make a draft, and then do a quick edit, THEN I can publish.

   All my old pages and posts are fine.

   What I tried:
   I deactivated the two most recent plugins -- Author Avatar and Welcome Pack -- since I know that it was working before then

   Here are my currently active plugins:
   BuddyPress, Version 1.5.1
   BuddyPress Activity Stream Bump to Top
   BuddyPress Activity Stream Hashtags
   BuddyPress Community Stats
   BuddyPress Edit Activity Stream

   Check that you are logged in with full Admin status.

   That's what I thought happened at first, that WP thought that I was no longer Admin. But I was logged in, and I clicked on Users, and there I was, and my role is still Administrator.

   Any other ideas? I'm at a standstill until I get this fixed.

   It might be he Jetpack. When updated Jetpack, I couldn't publish new posts. I can publish by temporarily deactivating jetpack and then publishing post, then reactivating.

   Deactivated some of the features I didn't need and now publishing works fine
