Suddenly, cannot add new menu items. No save buttons working (9 posts)

    Hello-

I have installed and worked with many WordPress sites over the years without any problems - a very good record :) But it seems I've finally run into my first problem.

I've been working on a new site for the past few weeks and got most everything set up but suddenly I find that I cannot add any more than 15 menu items. I had thought it might be the suhosin problem that I've read about, but at the same time I noticed that no Save posts don't seem to be saving anymore. For instance, I have the Cool Video Gallery plugin installed and in order to change a gallery's description, you edit it and click Save. Up until now it saved perfectly, but now after I reached that 15 menu item limit it will not save. This is true of all elements of the site. I have not recently installed any new plugins that I can directly tie to the issue.

I'll note that I can still happily create new pages and posts without any problems at all. The only issue seems to be saving any kind of setting.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh, also - on the Menu page, the problem isn't with the "Save" button, but it's with the "Add to Menu" button. I select what I want, click "Add to Menu" and the little swirly icon goes around a couple times and then nothing happens. This makes me wonder if it might have something to do with jQuery?

Here's something else interesting... On the General Settings page, when I click Save, rather than saving the change, takes me to a long detailed form with what appears to be the setting's actual name in the database, rather than the user friendly form. I've never seen anything like this before.

    Very strange...

Also the Links section appears to be broken. Cannot add or edit any links... it goes to a blank page. This is getting frustrating, considering everything was working perfectly fine and all I was doing leading up to this was adding new pages. And now everything is mysteriously broken.

None of the problems really show up on the actual site - only when trying to save settings from the admin side.

Well I guess it does kind of show on the live site... For example, the following URL:

    http://new.twu556.org/hello-world/

used to work and now it doesn't. Could this have something to do with a messed up domain setting somewhere? I wonder if some other administrator was messing with our DNS records... Do you think it's possible that something with DNS could be causing the problem?

Strange, but I figured it out. It was due to a rogue php.ini file that I had created in /wp-admin to increase the max upload for the Cool Video plugin. Note to self: WordPress cannot handle max upload sizes > 500M ... or else the whole thing goes nuts.

I just installed 3.3.1 on my site. I don't have a "Save" or a "Preview" button showing. To edit the post, I have to backtrack out of the page and into Dashboard, where I can choose "Preview" to see the page. To edit again I have to backtrack & choose "Edit." This is very annoying.

    Can anybody help with this?
