Slideshow Satellite
Sudden speedup/fade in-out issues (9 posts)

I'm having issues with the speed of the auto slide going crazy after the first couple pictures.

The first couple pictures fade-in/out perfectly at the right time and look great! But after about picture 5, suddenly it's only displaying the picture for about half the time, and then it speeds up even more, and starts switching *way* too fast and slows down and speeds up to no end.

However, it all works perfectly if I disable the transition effect (fade out).

Is something on my site conflicting with the transition? I couldn't find any other posts with a similar problem...

I've heard of this issue, but it's a strange one. If doing a transition of "none" works well, try reducing the speed of the transitions, hopefully you can get it to be non-noticeable? There could be a different javascript timer conflicting, but it's hard to say.

I too have this same problem. The slide show will show ok for the first rotation (most of the time) and then it will speed up, skip images etc. I've set it to a slow transition but it still is extremely noticeable and it's hard to view the images. It didn't do this right away when my developer installed it. Only recently has it started doing this.

Does this issue persist if you do Transition style 'none'? Thanks for bringing this up btw

I think setting the transition to 'none' may have worked. I'll test a few more and then let you know. Thanks for the help.

Actually, just tried it again and it seems to be doing the same thing. After a few rotations, skips images and speeds up.

Are you running jQuery through Google or WordPress (Advanced Settings) this is screaming a weird jQuery issue to me.

Also, whichever it is, switch it to the other and see if it's any better.

Currently it's WordPress, I switched it to Google and it's doing the same thing.

Mine is currently doing the same thing.

It only happens when I try to scroll on the page. It is fine until I move the page and then it get's wonky.
