   All of a sudden, around 3 or 4 days ago my akismet plugin started letting lots of spam through, I suddenly got over 100 awaiting moderation emails. And they've been stacking up ever since. Worse thing is, I can't seem to spamify any of the comments anymore either. If I click the "recheck queue for spam" option it times out, after about 10 minutes of tapping fingers, and none of the messages are deleted.

   If I do a mark all as spam its the same. Wait for ages and nothing.

   I've never had issues with akismet before so I'm really confused.

   Can anyone help?

   Myabe askimet is having issues -- it IS hosted on another box, you know.

   Network things happen, packets travel across hops, and often get lost in translation.

   Delete the spam, and move on?
