• Hello!
    I am getting a success message with my sign up form, but no confirmation email and no sign up in mailchimp. I was having this issue with your other MailChimp widget plugin as well, so I changed to this one hoping to fix it.

    I created a new API key
    I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin
    I deactivated all other plugins
    I have checked the “yes” box for Double Opt-In on both Forms and Checkboxes
    I checked my MailChimp list and ONLY email is required for sign up
    There is no response on my MailChimp API log
    I tried adding first & last name merge tags, no change
    I have made no changes to the plugin code, and altered the form settings to read:

    <label for="mc4wp_email"></label>
    	<input type="email" id="mc4wp_email" name="EMAIL" placeholder="email address" required />
    	<input type="submit" value="SUBMIT" />

    The widget can be seen here:

    Any thoughts?
    Thank you!

    I cannot leave the non-functioning widget up while the site is live, I am going to remove it until I find a solution.

    Hi Kelley,

    Thanks for the extensive diagnosis! You did quite some research and covered all suggestions that would come to mind.

    Does the MailChimp API Log show a successful request? If so, are you sure the confirmation emails are not ending up in your spam folder? Also, which email address are you using as your MailChimp account email? This can’t be a @yahoo address.

    Also, are you able to sign-up to your list when you disable double opt-in (bypassing the confirmation email)? New subscriptions without double opt-in will be seen as “imports”.

    Hope that helps. If not, let me know!
