subscribers missing

Before I transferred from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, I had about 158 total subscribers. A wordpress.com staff member transferred my stats and subscribers for me, but I now only have 38 subscribers.. Has this happened to anyone else. Is this just a loss of the transfer or is there anyway to get the missing subscribers back?
