    Hello,

I got an e-mail notice telling me someone signed up about 2 hours ago. But, it is not showing on my dashboard yet. I think it happened once before, where the subscriber’s information showed up a few days later. My blog is new, so I am not very familiar with the process.

    Is this a normal occurrence?

Or, that is not the way it’s supposed to be?

    Thank you.

You can follow the instructions here to access your subscriber list:
    http://jetpack.me/support/subscriptions/#view-your-email-subscribers

However, if you’ve received a notification email about a new user registration, it is not related to Jetpack. You can read more about the difference between Jetpack Subscribers and Registered Users here:

Thank you so much for your reply. I was so lost about this.

My “subscribers” are listed at the location where you pointed me to as “E-mail Subscribers.” — So, this means that they registered through Jetpack, and they will receive the e-mail notice when a new post is up . . correct?

Another registration method seems to be available on my site is as “WordPress Subscribers.” There is only my name there. Jetpack is the only plugin I have installed for subscription so far.

But, there is still one person (who registered) missing from the list of E-Mail subscriber list . . ??? May be a spam, and got blocked by my security plugin? I don’t know.

    Correct!

If you’ve enabled registrations under Settings > General in your dashboard, the Register link can be found on your dashboard log in page:
    http://yoursite.com/login

People registering through that link will appear under Users > All Users in your dashboard.

If you only see your own account there, then that user registered differently. The notification email you received might tell you more about the system they used to subscribe.

I appreciate your instructions. I have learned much about this plugin.

But, I still have the same problem. My original question. The e-mail notice I receive when someone signs up is so unreliable. The other day, I finally got the notice on someone who had sign up, and has been on my list, for months. Also, one person who is already on the list, for whom I have never received the notice by e-mail. I am talking about the e-mail “I” receive when someone signs up with subscription. I am not referring to the sign up through commenting. I only have Jetpack for e-mail subscription. No other plugin. Lastly, there was one notice I received, for which no one seems to be listed.

Is this a bug? Is it OK to leave it alone like this?

    I would appreciate for advice.

    Thank you.

Jetpack does not send any email when someone subscribes to your site. The only way to monitor the subscribers who sign up to your site via Jetpack is to regularly check your list of subscribers here:
    http://jetpack.me/support/subscriptions/#view-your-email-subscribers

The email notices you currently receive are either sent by WordPress itself if someone registers to your site, or by another plugin. You should be able to find out where the emails are coming from by looking at the sender’s email address.

    I hope this helps.
