Subscribe2 Confirmation Link Problem

I recently installed Subscribe2. I tried to subscribe using an alternate email to test things, and the confirmation email has an error. The link that should be clicked to confirm only had my website http://www.megtherepublican.com as an active link and not the confirmation code following it.
for example:
http://www.megtherepublican.com88888888888
The eights would not be clickable. If I copy and paste the code and put it in my browser it works. I need the confirmation link to work though.
