Subscribe via email

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any wordpress plugins that allow email send outs… I already have a email form on my website all ready in my sidebar called subscribe2.

I like this and people have been subscribing which is nice, however, when I send out blog posts it sends out emails even though I told it not to.

I didn’t wanna start spamming people with emails about new blog posts, only important posts..

Do you know of another plugin that would create the same form on my sidebar and would allow to send out emails when I want them to..

It’s a shame I can’t get the plugin to work cause it’s a nice little plugin.
