   I am curious to know if there is a way to import widgets into your existing theme because when I was researching on the support page.
   I found that there are "subscribe to this blog" widgets - and there are also widgets that you can link our twitter/flickr updates on it - as i did on my trickydame.biz wordpress.com site.

   I am now using wordpress.org for my new site http://www.trickydame.com and would like to have these widgets to use.

   No - widgets are usually theme specific.
