Hi everyone.
I've been struggling with this for quite a few days.
I've tried quite a few of these type of email subscription type plugins and have had no luck getting a confirmation email from any of them as a test.
These are them:-
newsletter-subscription-optin-module
g-lock-double-opt-in-manager
wp-opt-in
wp-email-capture
and last
newsletter
I have checked my spam folder (gmail for all my email accounts) and have only every received one notification email from Satollo's Newsletter plugin, informing me that i had a subscriber who was yet to confirm. But that is unlikely because no confirmation email has come as of yet.
I think this must be a setting i am missing on wordpress. But i'm stumped. Help would be appreciated.

Well thanks everyone for your flood of responses.
Two weeks later and i've worked it out myself.
This is just for anyone who has a similar problem then maybe it will save you weeks of anguish.
Turns out I've worked out what the issue was. I knew it was a wordpress email not being out the prob was why. Well it turns out I need to add a plugin that handles SMTP email servers from wordpress. Put my settings in and voila!!
The plug that worked for me was called...
WP-Mail-SMTP

Thank you for reporting back jerel mani. You could have easily not & I'd still be stuck with the issue.

Glad that it has helped you guys.
I have found after setting up wordpress on other servers that this is not always nessary to do. One some servers email just works.
