   There's nothing wrong with your Subscribe link (RSS feed). That how RSS feeds are supposed to look. They're not meant to be read via a web browser but using a new aggregator.

   I am confused. How does someone subscribe to be updated on new blog posts, etc. I have had people tell me they click to subscribe and can't...

   they put that url into an rss reader to subscribe....

   Oh, OK...sorry for seeming clueless, but I'm new to a blog. So how can I see who has subscribed?
   I guess what I want may be an email sign up??? Can I change this link to go to a sign up form?

   using traditional rss, you can't see who has subscribed

   look into feedburner possibly? It's an rss subscription service
