I'm looking for the plugin that allows you to have a button that let's people elect to get your blog by email. I see it on several blogs but I can't find the plugin to use. Sorry I'm such a newb.

The fastest way to get that done that I know of is to run your feed through Feedburner. Feedburner offers a free posts-by-email service. When you sign up and activate the email portion of their services they will give you some code to paste onto your blog that adds the "Subscribe by email" button.
You will also want to install the Feedsmith plugin when you move your feed to Feedburner - they will offer it for download within your Feedburner account.
