Subpages on sidebar, calendar, monoslide and images

    Can someone please help, I’m trying to add links to pages in the sidebar of my K2 WordPress site.

    My site is http://www.trailofants.com, I’m totally new to WordPress and to HTML (gulp!) so any help would be really appreciated!

    My first problem is;When I add K2 Sidebars (e.g. calendar) it removes the “Subpages” from the side, and I can’t find a way of restoring them. Ideally I’d like the calendar*, latest posts and subpages all on the side. Is this poss? In fact to be honest, I want exactly what I want on the side as appose to choosing between subpages and the K2 Sidebars.

    * strangely, when i add the calendar it says there’s an error on the page (line 23?)

    My second problem is;On the links across the top, named on mine as so; “Home. The Trail. ‘ello foto etc” I’m not sure how to change the colour of the box when I hover over it, it turns white which conflicts with the design of the header, is there a way that the background can stay ‘transparent’ but maybe the text can change?

    My third problem is;Monoslide. Has anyone got an easy way of explaining how I put this on my site?! I’ve bought the download expecting it to be relatively simple to incorporate, but this is far from the truth! I concede it might be to a someone au feit with HTML etc, but to a newbie… HELP!

    My fourth one is (similar to #1);Can I only have subpages on the home page? I have some that I would like to be on the blog page (known as The Trail on my site) but they don’t seem to appear?

    My fifth is;If I wanted to add things like Paypal or similar to the side, how do I do this!? In fact, how do I add exactly what I want to the sidebar?

    I might as well leave you with my sixth;Why do some images that I upload offer a thumbnail whereas others don’t? I want to standardise the size of all my images within the blog, is this possible please?

    In fact, is “subpages” the best route to go? All I need is links through to other bespoke pages, namely “unmissables” and “the itinerary fairy” (don’t ask!) off of specific pages.

    Apologies if I sound like hard work… I have genuinely tried to crack this but it’s got the better of me and now i’m turning to you! If you spot any other anomolies then i’d love to hear your tips etc.
