Support » Installing WordPress » Submitting Posts to Subdomain Blogs

  • I am using subdomains with WPMU on a local machine in a development environment. The subdomains are all working fine, Apache, virtual host and .conf files are all set; MySQL and PHP/phpMyAdmin are working properly.

When I go to the subdomain url in a browser I see the rudiments of a blog (i haven’t applied a theme to them yet)–each site has an index.php file pointing to wpmu with the site’s ID.

BUT I can find no way to make a post, except to the domain (top level) blog. I am sure I’m just overlooking something simple. Do I have to put a wp-admin folder in each site? (I tried and it didn’t work, but there may be more configuration files that have to be edited for it to be successful).

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sherrie

I’m now finding that I’m having the same problem applying themes to the subdomain sites. I’ve missed something, help anyone?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sherrie
