    Hi

I am making a wordpress plugin, and I am trying to submit it into the wordpress database. So I went to Add a Plugin , and when I submit it, it said

Please fill out your link to the zip file
    I did do that.
    How do I submit it?

  2. The form says:

Plugin URL (required, must be a link to a ZIP file of the working plugin)

Is the link valid and did you press Send Post?

    What is a valid link?

  4. It's a guess on my part (since I've never submitted a plugin to the WordPress repository myself) but I'm pretty sure that form needs a link where the plugin reviewer or system can download a copy of the plugin you are submitting.

    That sort of valid link.

    It still said

You must supply a Plugin URL that is a link to a .zip file of the working plugin.
    .

  6. As you are submitting this to the WordPress plugin repo, can you post the link here? It may be the zip file is corrupted or redirecting.

  8. I'm sorry, how is http://www.kidsguide2theworld.com/download-plugin/ a valid link to a zip file...?

    Remember this text?

You must supply a Plugin URL that is a link to a .zip file of the working plugin.

ZIP file, it needs to be a zip file.

I know it's late for me to ask this but can you explain what you're trying to accomplish...?

    Do it Like this?

  11. You're over thinking this entire thing, Websiteguy.

The Plugin URL you provide has to be a URL that goes directly to a .zip file, so we can download and test your plugin.

    Good: http://example.com/foo/file.zip

    Bad: http://example.com/foo/file/

Do you understand the difference now? :)

  12. I think you may want to review some things before attempting to contribute to the WordPress plugin repo. ;)

    Give this a good read.

When you've got a working plugin and want to consider uploading it to the repo then give this a read first.
