Submit Themes using 3rd Party Frameworks (3 posts)

I wanted to know when submitting free themes to the free theme listings, if they can be built using third party frameworks? The one I am considering using is fully GPL, but the reason I am asking is because the structure of it is very different from a typical WordPress theme. For the reviewers, if they see the theme files, they will think, "What the....." lol.

The other thing is that this framework (called Warp) uses a type of Child theme concept for any overrides or customization, called "Styles" but these are not installed like an actual child theme would, more like uploaded into the "styles" directory of this framework.

I don't think you can submit themes based in a framework unless it's hosted on WPORG but I could be wrong. You really need to ask the theme review team themselves via http://lists.wordpress.org/mailman/listinfo/theme-reviewers
