subfolder structure /home/home problem (4 posts)

    Hi guys,

I have the following problem. I installed a subfolder wpmu installation. Now I have the problem that breadcrumbs are generated by the dimox script and it follows the structure of my parent attribute I can set for each individual page. So I wanna definitely set the parent attribute.

problem is. When I set the green-refinery as the homepage and then I set green-refinery the page parent for a subpage I will get the permalink:

    http://www.website.com/green-refinery/green-refinery/subpage

so home1 appears twice. This is not the case when I do not set the page parent. But I must set the page parent in order to get the 3rd or 4th level strucutre in the domain AND to get the correct breadcrumb.

So the breadcrumb is only correct (home >> Green Refinery >> Subpage) when I set Green-Refinery as the parent page.

the home subfolder URL of the Site is http://www.website.com/green-refinery

So what I think I'm searching for is that the green-refinery attribute won't affect my url and won't append another /green-refinery/ to my url.

There must be an obvious solution. I think every other wpmu user would have this problem.

    cheers and all the best,

    Malte

  2. What's this dimox script you speak of?

Frankly it sounds like the script is doing exactly what it should...

yeah, sure, the script is doing what it's supposed to do. Because it's supposed to resemble the general structure.

It was just background information and why I need to use the Structure attributes. Probably this information was overkill.

But anyway, I can't imagine, that nobody who runs a network is using the parent attributes for pages. Is it a setting I messed up.

You must see, that even without any breadcrumb problems, my URL would crash as soon as I set a subpage as the child of the home page. Then I have a duplicate URL Path argument

    /green-refinery/green-refinery.

When I switch the parent attribute to default I just have the path-based subpage url: /green-refinery/sub-page as it's supposed to be.

    Sorry, forget the breadcrumb problem;)

  4. problem is. When I set the green-refinery as the homepage and then I set green-refinery the page parent for a subpage I will get the permalink:

    http://www.website.com/green-refinery/green-refinery/subpage

This isn't a problem, this is what you said you did.

    1) Site is green-refinery

    2) PAGE on site green-refinery is named green-refinery

    3) SUBPAGE on site green-refinery is named subpage, and is the subpage of green-refinery

So your URL is 100% correct.
