Greetings,
I have a subdomain network up and running on WP 3.4.1 with a few sites (you can visit the main site here: http://CommunicatorsInAction.com/). I would, however, like to create a network inside of one of my existing subdomains. For example:
Main Network:
http://example.com/
http://site1.example.com/
http://site2.example.com/
Sub Network:
http://site2.example.com/anothersite/
I have installed the Networks for WordPress plugin, but I am unsure how to implement it to achieve the desired result.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Ben
Install and activate, and then go to /wp-admin/network/sites.php?page=networks
Since you already have site2, uncheck "Create a Root Site:" and after that I don't know...
I've used these:
WP MultiNetwork: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-multi-network/
Networks+ : http://wpebooks.com/networks/ (pay-for)
Thank you for the reply, Ipstenu!
Based upon you're experience, I have switched the Networks for WordPress plugin to the WP Multi-Network plugin (I am using the updated "1.3" version by Brian Layman: http://alantait.net/2011/07/27/wp-multi-network-plugin-fix-for-wordpress/ ).
To achieve the desired structure with this plugin, do I need to change my path from "/" or something?
Thank you!
Ben
