   Hi, please excuse me, im a complete newbie!

   I have created a subdomain through cpanel (sub.maindomain.co.uk for example) and then through my cpanel installed wordpress onto that sub domain, but when I click the links it says its installed to it jus redirects to my main domain?

   If I try a random subdomain which I havnt created such as random.maindomain.co.uk it says server not found - but sub.maindomain.co.uk is taking me to main site.

   Can anyone help? I really hope so!

   you can try by using a plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-subdomains/

   Thanks for your reply. I just want the whole blog on the subdomain, so not sure I actually need this plug in?

   check .htaccess files also
