• Hi,

One a subdirectory multisite install, if you go to:

    http://somesite/somebogusblog/wp-admin/

you get the wp-admin for the root blog. That is, if /somebogusblog/ does not exist.

It looks like this is coming from the .htaccess file rules which capture wp-admin (among other things). I’m not sure if this is a bug or not in WP. It looks like it’s wortking as advertised and intended, but it’s not what users might expect.

is there a way around this? I think the solution would have to be within WP, and not a changed .htaccess file rule.

    Looking for pointers. Thanks.
