I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, but I couldn't find anything about it elsewhere. I installed WP3.0 fresh and then set up WPMU.
http://www.ktracy.com works fine
My second site: http://www.ktracy.com/comic/ doesn't work (it auto-forwards to Bluehost's 404 thing).
But here's the kicker... this blog post in the subdirectory DOES work:
http://www.ktracy.com/comic/2010/07/21/mspaint-comic-home/
So what the heck is going on and how do I solve it?
and when you set up the network (it's not called mu anymore :) ), you put in the htaccess rules as instructed, right?
Hrm.

Yeah, MU is how I learned it... I don't adapt well. :)
I did change the htaccess rules.

Okay, I think I figured it out. I had the new site in a subdirectory that already existed. If I create a site in a non-existing subdirectory, it works fine. When I got the additional domain name, I needed to point it to a subdirectory.
I can figure it out from here. Thanks!
the terminology keeps throwing me too, so it's more a reminder for me too. ;D
If you;re mapping a domain, and that's why you put the folder there, feel free to remove it, and point the domain to the main install.
