   Instead of having all my static pages on http://mydomain/page-title, I would like some of the pages to be in subdirectories, so that the URL could be something like http://mydomain/subdirectory/page-title. Is this possible, and if so how is it done?

   You could create pages & assign them static templates.
   Then assign a parent page, subsequently creating the subdirectory.
