Thank you, i am very glad that you understand me :-D
I am not a native speake either :) - so I am good at guessing.
However, that plugin will display the subcategories in the sidebar, not in the content area.

Er... Hmm,, it's a pity, an other plugin ? I need to show the subcategories in the content area...
There is no such plugin and for that you will need a lot of manual coding...

Well, in that case use that plugin. It will work fine. It shows and hides the subcats in the sidebar.

Moshu,
Does the plugin "http://ryowebsite.com/wp-plugins/nosubcats/" work with WP 2.5? If not, it there another one that works to eliminate the double posts? thanks
I just installed d-tree on a 2.5.1 installation and it works fine. Don't be alarmed by a warning message after activating it... it's nothing.
