Sub-post entity creation

    Hi guys,
    I have to create a new ‘entity’. This entity is something like a sub-post.
    A post (the generic WP post) can have zero or more sub-post linked and a sub-post must have one parent post. Also, a sub-post can have zero or more sub-post linked.

    The sub-post must be not visible in the list of post related to a category (so, when I click the category link, I must show only post and not sub-post) but the sub-post can be visible inside the search results.

    I need your suggestion: should I create a new custom type? Or add some meta-information to the standard post type?
