    Hi,

    I created a wordpress theme and so far it was just running on my localhost (XAMPP). Now I uploaded the whole wordpress folder on a free webspace to test it and it is not showing me the sub pages. Just go to http://www.akorug.bplaced.net and use the navigation.

    This is the error message:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error due to .htaccess misconfiguration.
    Please check your .htaccess file within this or upper directories for syntax errors.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I realised that the URL of this website only works when started with www. … so could it be that it is not working because the http:// is missing?

    Extra files deleted. Sorry I was not more specific.

    Normally it would just be

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wp/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /wp/index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress

    WordPress does not use BEGIN HTML5 Boilerplate. It will write the file when you change permalinks. Some plugins like W3C will add to the file.

    I suggest you try what I have above.

    Oh wow … I just saw the problem when you copied that. The thing is that wordpress was placed into the folder ‘wp’ but when I moved it to the webspace, it was on the root directory. So I only needed to remove ‘wp/’ from your code above. Thank you!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you!
    This fixed 2 of our problems!!
