Very nice plugin...this is what i am looking for.

Have been playing around with the plugin and ran into a snag...Say i have 2 sub pages with same name when i go to the drop down boxes for "Use settings from:" & "Specific Post" there are no subpages only pages also the 2 identical subpages show only as 1 and called (page). Is there any work around for this?

All the pages should be there since the dropdown uses the page_id as the option value. Sounds like what we need is to format the menus using the menu heirarchy.

Ok the missing subpage showed up when i went to parent so it is showing all the pages...but there is still no way to distingush which subpages are which if they are named the same.

I have 2 subpages called "Data" they show up like this under both "Use settings from" and "Specific Post"...

    /Specific Post
    Data (Page)
    Data (Page)

The menu heirarchy is working it showing fine there, but im using specific post on each parent page to display menu of subpages.

Here is example of what im talking about showing subpages:

    /Specific Post
    Home (Page)
    -Data (Sub-Page)
    About (Page)
    -Data (Sub-Page)

It still works the way you have it just have to select both the data pages in the Specific Post and go to the page and right down the page id's and guess which one is which till i find the right one. I assume the id's are in order from lower to higher so that might help a little...

The label in parentheses refers to the post_type value of the post record ("page" is the post_type), so the only way "sub-page" would appear would be if you added a custom post type with that name.

I like the idea of formatting the list by hierarchy, maybe add that in after the 2.0 release. The reason we went with the flat list was simply to save real estate.

    Oh i understand...

What i did which was time consuming was just added the parent page id number to all the subpages so i could recognize them in the list.

Good news: Post list by hierarchy will be in version 2.0. We are releasing tonight (Friday, May 31). Take a look at the docs for a preview of the new features:
