sub menu - sub pages bug? (1 post)

    Environment: WordPress3.0.3 Twentyten Theme

    Problem:
Best explained with the following example:

Page Arrangement( as configured on the Dashboard)

    • Page A
      • sub page A1
      • sub page A2

Menu Arrangement ( as configured on the Dashboard)

    • Top Level Menu - Page A
      • Sub Menu - Page A1
      • Sub Menu - Page A2

In the above arrangement clicking on the submenu items results in a page not found. However, if I move the pages for the sub menu to the top level or into another group then they are found and loaded. So the following works:
Page Arrangement( as configured on the Dashboard)

    • Page A
    • Page B
      • sub page A1
      • sub page A2

Menu Arrangement ( as configured on the Dashboard)

    • Top Level Menu - Page A
      • Sub Menu - Page A1
      • Sub Menu - Page A2

That is to say that if I move the sub pages into a different group they will be found and loaded by the browser.

I've been able to replicate this problem across different groups and pages and the behavior seems to be consistent. So I'm beginning to wonder if there is a bug in the sub menu system. I think its more likely to be something that I've done but I wonder if anyone has used the menu/sub menu system as described in my first case and has it working correctly?

I'd appreciate any feedback or insights from anyone with experience in using the menu system.

    Thanks.
