I will like to style my sidebar just like this website below,

But i dont know if its a plugin that was used or the css code was adjusted.

Can't tell -- lots of different stuff in the sidebar and various styles. But you can easily use Firebug (or other similar tool) to look at the CSS used on that section of the page...
