Hi
I need to style or wrap a background color around each individual reply to make it stand out, but can't figure out which part of the comments.php I need to change so I can easily target with css. Iam not php savvy so this doesn't help...
any feedback would be much appreciated

Ok I've manged to style the "authors replies" through the .bypostauthor class but failed to add styling to the users comments through the .byuser class.
my theme was based on the twenty twenty theme. Website still under construction.http://www.smpwebco.com
add styling to the users comments through the .byuser class.
is there an example post with user comment?
what kind of styling are you trying to achieve?
the grey background shows fine if i remove all other css classes.
