[resolved] stylesheet_directory conflicting Codexinfo (4 posts)

    I just noticed that there is a conflict in the info provided about "stylesheet_directory" at two locations in the Codex. As far as I can tell, stylesheet_directory used to point to the parent theme stylesheet directory, but now points to the child stylesheet directory (if a child theme is active)

    This page appears to be correct:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_bloginfo

    And this one appears to be wrong:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/bloginfo

    I don't think I know enough to edit these entries myself, so I'm hoping someone with more WP expertise will read this post and edit the Codex appropriately.

  2. Not seeing what's wrong here... The child theme IS the active theme.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_bloginfo

    stylesheet_directory
    URL of the stylesheet directory of the active theme. (Was a local path in earlier WordPress versions.)

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/bloginfo

    `stylesheet_directory = http://example/home/wp/wp-content/themes/child-theme
    stylesheet_url = http://example/home/wp/wp-content/themes/child-theme/style.css`

    Ditto. stylesheet_directory() has always pointed to the active theme's directory.

    Oops. Must have been a boneheaded reading on my part (probably looking at the example for template_directory).
