• I am using Goddady Hosting FTP Connection and I am trying to upload something other then the default template that came with this hosting connection for my site “www.nestinvestors.com”
    1. why is it so hard to upload files using there software. I either get “timeout”, “unable to connect to server” or some strange error message, what should I do?
    2. If I use there software to upload WordPress, isn’t there a place somewhere on my computer that the files are going or does everything go to there server with the file content?

  • What are you using to upload files? If you’re doing it via some sort of web page, why not get a real FTP client?

I am using Godday “Host Connection” and what this does is automatically installs the wordpress, but as far as installing the individual files I use the Godday FTP client, which I think sucks.

Can you tell me how to recover my ftp password?

Afraid we focus on support WordPress here. For GoDaddy FTP support you’ll need to contact GoDaddy directly.

Yay! Funniest comment of the day…

Is there a way to create a email address using my blog’s URL?

Are you for real? You asked for help, never followed up on that particular problem, and now you pop in a month later to the same thread to ask a completely unrelated question?

The answer: If you own a domain and the hosting package you purchased comes with email accounts then yes, you can create emails such as whatever@yourdomain.com.

Actually, I followed up on the pervious question that was answered and fixed that issue. As you stated, this was completely different and that’s why I asked a different question. If I knew the wait between the time the question was asked and when I would get a responds I probably wouldn’t have posted the same question again and again. Thanks for being so courteous

Install a plugin called “Plugin central”, it lets you intall/update plugins without uploading the files yourself and even notifies you when upgrades are available.

Then you should make this post “resolved”.

It’s pointless to post the same question again and again. It does no good. If someones going to answer, they’ll answer whether you ask once or a million times. AND it’s rather silly to ask a question on a month of post about a different topic. AND the new question you asked has nothing to do with WordPress so why did you ask it here? AND your original question had nothing to do with WordPress either.
