Stuck on "Submit for Review" - Even for Admins (7 posts)

    I'm not sure what happened, but I just ran the update to WordPress 3.0 from 2.9.2 on one of my blogs and in both Posts and Pages all I see is a "Submit for Review" button. Even logged in as admin. I even created a new administrator-level account to try that and same thing.

    And if I submit a Post/Page for review.. nothing happens. I can't find it anywhere to publish. The dashboard is empty.

    I don't really want to rip out the blog and start over.. that would take a long time to fix, unless there are only parts of the SQL database I can keep with the pages..

    What else can I try? How can I get rid of that Submit for Review button?

    If no one is sure on how to fix this I guess I need to start copying all my pages to Word or something and trash the entire database. I'll wait and see if anyone can help today before I do that tomorrow :/

    Luckily I had backed my database up relatively shortly before I did the 3.0 upgrade so I just restored it and everything is working. Still not sure how this problem happened in the first place, but I'm fixed :/

    @jglonek

    I as you did, had a database backup prior to upgrading to 3.0. So what you are saying is it sounds like a WP 3.0 issue. I am not the biggest tech guy, so when you restored the database, did it automatically revert back to those setting? The other issue i had is that i switched Media Temple servers from one grid server to another, and things seem to be fine.

    I am with you guys, a solution doesnt seem easy to find, but it does seem to have to do with upgrading to 3.0.

    Thanks!

    @JasonLehr
    Did restoring the database work for you? I am having the same issue and don't have a very recent database backup, so I'm putting off restoring until I'm confident it will resolve the issue.
