   I have installed WP on a Linux server. The installation seemed to hang on step 2 - all I saw was the WordPress logo - nothing else. But then, as I type the domain name the blog is there and looks OK. Except when I login. No matter what link I click in the dashboard I get an internal 500 error. Any ideas on how to fix this?

   I installed wordpress site in ubuntu server and created virtual server my site address is http://www.wordpress.com. When i hit this its getting redirected to http://www.wordpress.comhttp/www.wordpress.com/

   Please Help

   My host resolved the problem (which turned out to be a resolution you can find elsewhere on these forums - I just didn't have the guts to change something I have no understanding about...).
   The problem was due to a memory problem.
   You need to add/change this in your .htaccess file

   php_value memory_limit 64M

   NO thats is not fixed my problem.... I am running In local machine...with ubuntu server
