Running windows home server (W2K3) on a local computer. used the web platform installer to install PHP, MySQL, and wordpress. trying to install wordpress but it is stuck on step 2
I enter blog title and password and I get ERROR: You must provide an email address.
I have tried several valid email accounts. no joy..
any ideas?
searched all the forums, seems this problem has occured with others , but didnt see any answers (hopefully mine will be the first!) :)

Just a stab in the dark: maybe the Windows server can't send the e-mail, and that causes some kind of problem?
But then I am really guessing...
I have never used the web platform installer you are describing.
Maybe a customer service/ forum specific to the server you are running have dealt with this problem in general before.

just solved it myself. I renamed the dir from "wordpress" to "blog"
