Stripe Gravity Form Add-on not processing form when submitted. (14 posts)

I have AJAX enabled but the form is still not processing after submitted. It just stays on the same page and does not give an error message. I checked the Logs on my Stripe dashboard and it says, "400 ERR POST/v1/charges".

    Please advise.

Hi HCE, I'll just recap here what we talked about over in the Stripe chatroom. Basically, the Stripe JS is being added to the page but it's not running due to a conflict with your theme or another plugin. One of your plugins in particular - fancybox - is throwing a JS error. You have a LOT of plugins and JS being included in your page from other plugins and some of it isn't even needed or used!

So, follow these steps to find the conflict:

    • On the particular site you're on, deactivate every plugin except Gravity Forms & the Stripe add-on, and also deactivate your theme so that your site is using the default Twenty-Eleven (or Twenty-Ten theme)
    • once you deactivate every plugin and theme, and verify that GF & Stripe are playing nice, then activate your theme and plugins one-by-one, checking the form submission each time until you find the culprit

That's my best advice. Since this is a free plugin, if you require more support, I can provide further assistance in exchange for a donation: http://naomicbush.com/

Thanks, Naomi! I'll try that and let you know.

I did network deactivate the Fancybox plugin last night and I was still encountering the same problem. But I'll deactivate everything, as you instructed here, and see what happens. As you know, I'm using multisite, so is network deactivating all I need to do to stop the plugins from running to properly conduct this test?

I'll be sure to offer a donation if I need additional assistance.

    Naomi,

I deactivated all of my plugins, except Gravity Forms and your Stripe Add-on, and I activated the Twenty Eleven theme, yet I am still encountering the same problem. I believe it's an issue with your Add-on. Please advise.

    Thanks!

@HCE: Since the add-on works just fine on my WordPress installation there isn't an obvious incompatibility issue present. I have about 15 other plugins installed and it works just fine. Chance are it's an error due to something in your setup.

Are you also using the official Add-ons from Gravity Forms?

That shouldn't matter since you were still having difficulties even with all the add-ons disabled, correct?

Patrick - Are you using multisite?

No, I am not. Technically this plugin isn't marked as multisite compatible.

Yes, I was still having difficulties even with all other plugins disabled. But last night Naomi mentioned that she thought it might be the Signature Add-on from Gravity Forms causing the problem. So I was wondering if you were using the Signature Add-on from Gravity Forms without issue...

I'm using multisite, and last night Naomi also mentioned that her plugin was designed for multisite. But the only people I've encountered who are using this plugin successfully are people NOT using multisite.

I believe the problem may be that this plugin is not working with a multisite installation.

This plugin is successfully running on a live Multisite install.

Have you disabled this add-on specifically? If you did, then there really shouldn't be any issue.

Naomi - Does the plugin have to be activated on the network and on the site, or just the network?

Patrick - I did disable that Add-on specifically and still experienced the same problem. I wanted to know if you or anyone had success using the Signature Add-on in conjunction with the Stripe Add-on...
